Grant Guidelines

The primary purpose of Big Dog Endowment is to have students find and evaluate worthy causes, however, if an organization would like to apply for a grant, here is the information to do so. 

Typically, distributions will not exceed 3% in any given year.  With the current portfolio balance of $2 Million, the current max year distribution amount will be $60,000.  

All grant requests require an application completed by the grantee. Please complete the application to the fullest extent possible. We recognize each application will look different based on the organization's goals and structure.  

Big Dog Endowment is primarily looking to give to organizations that embrace effective altruism, as such if a dollar is given away it will accomplish the most good. 

A winning application in his mind will maximize its return on impact. (ROI.) For each application, we request you explain to Dave why your proposal provides the optimal ROI.
