Any student at TLU who wants to learn more, do more, and be more in their community is welcome to join the Big Dog Endowment. It is open to any major and any classification….so no excuses!
At a minimum, students are required to commit at least two consecutive semesters.
Students must stay in good standing with the university.
Students earning a non-profit certification must complete the endowment's requirements.
Big Dog needs student managers (board members) interested in learning about effective and sustainable philanthropy. Student managers will serve on the board along with mentors who will provide education and mentoring. *Big Dog Members are not required to serve on the board.
Students will have additional work assignments in-between meetings. Also, students are expected to communicate regularly and respond within 24 hours.
Presentations will be delivered periodically. Professional attire is required.
Big Dog shares similarities with the Bulldog Investment Company (BIC.) https://bulldoginvestmentco.com/ Students are encouraged to stay after the Big Dog meeting and participate in the BIC meetings. (Every Friday 1:30-3:30 at TLU in Tschoepe Hall Room 245.
May I come visit? - Yes! Students are encouraged to visit a meeting and learn more about Big Dog.
Do I need a business degree to participate? - No, any major is welcome.
I am not a student. Can I visit? - Yes, visitors are welcome. Alumni come visit!
